Come join TUAC for Little Shop of Horrors, a deviously delicious sci-fi rock musical!

Meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant that he names “Audrey II” (after his coworker crush). This rude, R&B-singing carnivorous plant promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Seymour as long as he keeps feeding it….blood.

With a cast full of characters such as a money hungry shop owner, (Mushnik)a Dentist with a hankering for causing pain(Orin), Skid Row Singers, Winos, loitering women who just can’t get it together, and a trio of singing Divas; this show is sure to wet your appetite.

Due to scary plants and such, you may want to leave the little ones at home if they scare easily.

Come join us March 24 at 7pm, March 25th at 3pm and 7pm, and March 26th at 3pm at the R.E. Lee Auditorium.

Advance Tickets are $10 adults & $5 students. Tickets at the Door are $15 adults & $5 students.

The Thomaston Upson Arts Council awarded the first annual Dr. Keith B. Huckaby Scholarship Grant to Peyton Chapman. The scholarship, which totals $1,000, is awarded based on applicants’ prior work in the performing arts, as well as other extracurricular activities.

Applicants were also required to write an essay on how fine arts have enriched their lives.

Following her upcoming graduation from Upson-Lee High School, Chapman plans to continue her education at the University of Georgia.
